Frequently asked questions.

Q1: What is Sunday Hike?
A: Sunday Hike is a personal photography-and-adventure site run by me (Igor Os). I share travel journals, photo portfolios, outdoor gear notes, and experiences from camping and off-roading. I’m not a full-time professional photographer or influencer—I just enjoy wandering, shooting, and writing.

Q2: Who’s behind all this content?
A: Yep, it’s just me. I’m a computer engineer, musician, cyclist, and a dabbling photographer. I’m not trying to sell you anything. All photos on the site are my own.

Q3: Can I hire you to shoot a project or commercial assignment?
A: Short answer: no. I explicitly state I’m not taking commissions or photography work as a primary business.

Q4: How often is the site updated?
A: It varies. I publish when I have something worth sharing—a trip recap, gear review, or photo series. Because this is a hobby and not a 9-5 job, updates aren’t on a fixed schedule.

Q5: Can I use your photos?
A: Generally, thanks for asking, but no. Unless I explicitly state otherwise, the photos are copyrighted and may only be used with permission. If you have a legitimate reason (non-commercial, scholarly, etc.), feel free to contact me, and we can discuss further.

Q6: What gear do you use for photography / overlanding / camping?
A: I talk about gear from time to time (for example, in the blog, I have posts on vehicle awnings, camping lanterns, and overland setups).
However, what I use isn’t a recommendation you must follow—it’s my setup, with its flaws and quirks.

Q7: Do you review gear in a sponsored way?
A: Nope. I explicitly state I’m not sponsored by or affiliated with any photo manufacturer or organization. What you get is my opinion (biased and imperfect) and not a paid endorsement.

Q8: Can I contribute content (such as guest posts or photos) to your site?
A: At this point, probably not. Since this is a personal platform and I handle everything, I’m not actively soliciting guest contributions. If you'd like to discuss something further, you can reach out—but please note that there are no guarantees.

Q9: Is there a theme or style you follow?
A: Mostly: outdoors, travel, camping/overlanding, photography—especially in the US East Coast and some wider trips. The tone is informal, sometimes sarcastic, sometimes reflective. I lean into the imperfections of gear, the quirks of travel, and the beauty of places.

Q10: How can I contact you?
A: Use the contact form on the site. Email: igor+sundayhike@igoros.com.
I’ll do my best to reply, but as this is a hobby, response times vary.

Q11: Do you give photography classes or one-on-one coaching?
A: Not really. I’m happy to try answering photography-related questions if you ask, but I don’t offer formal classes or paid coaching (at least not at this time).

Q12: Why the name “Sunday Hike”? Are you actually hiking on Sundays?
A: Kind of a metaphor. “Sunday Hike” evokes a leisurely exploration, unplugging, and taking the time to notice things. It doesn’t mean I hike only on Sundays or follow a strict schedule. It means: let’s wander, let’s shoot, let’s enjoy.

Q13: Can I support the site (donations, buying your prints, affiliate links)?
A: As of now, no frictionless “buy prints here” store or donation button. If that changes, I’ll announce it. For now, the site stays simple.

Q14: Do you travel internationally?
A: Yes, occasionally. For example, I’ve posted about trips to Canada, including Nova Scotia (Sunday Hike). That said, much of the content is U.S.-based and focuses on informal adventures.

Q15: How do you process your photos / what software do you use?
A: I’ve written posts about video/photo editing (for example, using FFmpeg). The short version: I rely on standard photography workflow, RAW capture, some post-processing, and I interpret what I remember—not just what the camera captured.
